PageSpeed Insights gives a score from 0 to 100 based on a set of weighted metrics. Actual load time (how long before the page is usable) is related but not the same thing. We target both: a high score and a fast real-world experience, not just one or the other.

Not always. Many speed issues are in the theme, plugins, or site configuration and can be fixed without moving hosts. If your hosting is genuinely too slow for your traffic, we will flag it in the audit with specific recommendations: but we do not require a hosting change to do the work.

If you install a heavy plugin or change your hosting after we finish, the score may drop: that is outside our control. For changes we make, if the score falls below 90+ within 30 days and the cause is our work, we fix it at no charge.

Yes. Google Search Console reports Core Web Vitals failures based on real user data, which takes a few weeks to update after fixes are applied. We fix the underlying technical issues and the Search Console data will update as Google recrawls your pages.
